This multi-purpose trail is 4 kms in length, traveling from Jackson Park in Peterborough to Ackison Road in Smith Township. Once a C.N. rail bed, Jackson Creek Kiwanis Trail is a great place for jogging, cycling and cross-country skiing. An abundance of plant and wildlife species inhabit the area.

The Kawartha Nordic Ski Club is located between Burleigh Falls and Apsley, approximately 30 minutes north of Peterborough. Classic skiers can glide on over 30 kms of groomed trails, while skate skiers can enjoy the speed of a 10 km track. There are also four warm-up cabins along the trails. Day skiing or a yearly membership is available.
